SPE Student chapters are supported by regional sections and connected to universities all over the world. This offers a foundation for society activities at the collegiate level. In order to conduct industry-related activities, active student members collaborate closely with their sponsored SPE Section, academic mentors, and department heads. Each year, student members elect officers. Joining the local student chapter provides the opportunity to network with peers and local business leaders, which may lead to contacts and skills that advance one's career.
The BUET SPE Student Chapter was founded on October 1, 2007. There are currently 40 active members in this chapter.
