The departmental library was originally sponsored by the University of Alberta, Canada. Since then, various linkage partners and industry sponsors such as Unocal, Cairn Energy, University of Houston, etc are enriching it. The collection includes text and reference books, monographs, journals, conference proceedings, and thesis. The library also subscribes to many reputed journals and magazines related to the industry. An entire section is being developed for the audio-visual educational materials such as DVD's CD's and cassettes.
